Not a few weeks ago, specifications pages for two HP products previously unheard of, the ZBook 15 and ZBook 17, surfaced on Belgian website Academic Shop. The website, which sells computer hardware and software geared towards the education market, quickly pulled them but it looks like the folks at Academic Shop have just relisted the specifications lists. They’ve also replaced the ZBook names with more mysterious sounding “New HP 15 inch Elite platform” and “
It’s that time of the year again; there was word earlier this week about Lenovo coming out with new Intel Haswell-equipped ThinkPad models. But it appears the rumor mill has churned out a little something for fans of HP as well.
The first tidbit comes from the same Chinese forum that brought word about next-generation EliteBook Workstation models sporting big air vents. At least four business-class laptops have been named, along with a change in naming convention: […]
It feels like an awfully long time since we last heard from the rumor mill. This latest one comes from a Chinese forum where a poster claims to have seen photos of the next-generation HP EliteBook 8780w during a private meeting. He/she confirms that the EliteBook 8780w will be the next 17 inch Mobile Workstation from HP and that it will sport huge vents, presumably for better cooling, and dual hard disk bays.
Said individual also comments the […]
After abandoning WebOS and making it open source, it looks like HP is now wanting to get back into the tablet game, but this time with a different operating system. Tech blog readwrite has reported that sources say HP is working on a high-end tablet running Nvidia’s brand new Tegra 4 chip (which was announced at CES last month and featured in their Project Shield handheld console) and said tablet will run Android.
Another interesting rumor […]
HP Envy 100 printer from 2010 is about to be refreshed for 2012/2013
We’re not too sure if the HP Envy 100 made a big splash when it was released in 2010 but apparently it did sufficiently well that HP is considering a second model to add to their HP Envy printer line. There are no pictures or official specifications yet but at the Global Influencer Summit Shanghai conference, HP is dropping hints of a new Envy printer with high build […]
Digitimes, a reliable Asian news source for upcoming products based on outsourcing of companies to Chinese manufacturers, has reported today that HP is planning “two or more” Ultrabooks (Intel’s fancy speak for super-thin notebooks; think the Apple MacBook Air), with these new low-voltage Sandy Bridge processors announced two weeks ago, for a launch ahead of Asus’ 11.6 and 13 inch UX21 Ultrabooks debut in September.
That’s a pretty hasty move right there, and frankly quite unexpected. […]
Rumor from Taiwan: 7 inch TouchPad will be latest member of WebOS family in August
Talking about newer stuff shortly after announcing new stuff, isn’t this becoming a trend this year? Not two months ago, Intel began talking about 2012 Ivy Bridge processors barely after the first Sandy Bridge equipped computers started shipping. Now before the 10 inch (well, 9.7 inch to be precise) TouchPad is even out on the street, HP is already planning to woo and tempt […]
HP's mood today: Apparently not too happy with EliteBook news on the internet
Update (April 26): Well, I kinda saw this coming after HP China wrote to me about this article and I’ve removed this post too to work with HP as smoothly as possible. Well… [sigh] I guess being the biggest fansite/tech site that’s dedicated to appreciating HP and its products automatically puts us high on their radar!
Update (May 9): HP has officially unveiled the EliteBook 2560p and […]
