Also announced at CES 2013 today is the HP Pocket Playlist, a compact media server with 32 GB of memory. This little device can stream video up to 5 different devices via a direct WiFi connection, including smartphones (where an app for iPhone and Android will be out soon). It also can record shows from Hulu, Netflix and many other websites like Amazon Instant Video via its PlayLater function. The catch to this is PlayLater comes as a 1 month free trial and requires a one time $39.99 subscription fee. The HP Pocket Playlist itself costs $129 (not including PlayLater), which makes it a rather pricey device).
